Some ideas are too big for words. That’s why St. Mark Lutheran Church turned to us for help explaining their capital campaign. Temporary buildings that have seen two generations of students, badly needed expansion of facilities and more sound reasonable enough. But, when asking for donations, you better tell a compelling story.
We created a series of videos played at successive Sunday services and on their website explaining how this wasn’t just about updates, but a concrete way to keep the promise that built their community. We created two videos per week for a four-week appeal: a “trailer video” that ran before the sermon and a “story video” that followed the sermon.
